BRINGING ARTISTS AND MAKERS TOGETHER ACROSS SUSSEX

Anna Acciarini

Anna Acciarini is a multidisciplinary artist working across fine art, performance, writing, jewellery and textile design. Based in East Sussex, her practice is shaped by a sustained interest in memory, presence and the symbolic qualities of objects.

Her formal background includes Drama and Theatre at Trinity College Dublin, further study in Fine Art and Critical Theory and an MA in Screenwriting. This combination of disciplines informs a body of work that moves between performance and visual art with clarity and precision. Sculpture, painting, and jewellery have long been part of her practice, each marked by attention to material, a strong sense of colour and a playful but exact approach to form.

In recent years Acciarini has established The House of Anna Acciarini, a studio creating limited-edition silks. These works are developed from her own designs and produced by carefully selected master artisans along the ancient Silk Road. Inspired by porcelain, gardens and fragments of cultural history, they are conceived as objects of resonance and remembrance. She directs every stage of the process, including the photography, writing and film work that frame each design within a wider artistic context.

Anna Acciarini has exhibited her jewellery, painting and fine art both internationally and in Sussex and her practice has been recognised for its unusual combination of materials, stories and their reflective character. Her works are made to endure and to carry with them both the immediate presence of the maker and the continuing presence of those who live with them.

As an artist she brings range, discipline and a clear vision. Her works, whether in metal, paint, or silk, are conceived as lasting artefacts. They are made with care and offered with the intention that they remain part of a story larger than themselves.
